Conundrum

Edward SnowdenobamaPresident Obama has decried the excessive surveillance activity put in place by the NSA.

Yesterday the editorial board of the New York Times published an opinion that calls for him to offer some degree of protection to Edward Snowden as a whistleblower instead of a traitor.

It would not be a bad idea if the editorial boards of influential european newspapers representing the world of european business so quick to blast America for their “spying of allies” threw their weight behind the NYT to give Obama the global support to do something a Republican Congress would certainly not like, but which would do a lot of good to the U.S. of A. image.
